What is a Resume Extractor
Resume extraction is a new concept introduced by Tobu.ai resume software. Recruiters often have thousands of CVs hidden away in their emails and desktop/ Cloud Drives. It is almost impossible for a recruiter to manually segregate all their resumes from their email and desktop unless they have been organizing it right from the start. And even if they have been organizing them, it is impossible to identify precisely which are the most relevant resumes that will be relevant to new job openings that they might have.
The concept of resume extraction was born out of a fundamental problem that resumes are super expensive and hard to collect for recruiters. Using a resume extractor like the one Tobu provides, recruiters are now able to automatically extract all the resumes from their email and desktop and have their own internal resume database that can then be used to search and place candidates that they already have for new job openings that come up in the market.
The way a resume extractor works at a fundamental level is to leverage the power of artificial intelligence to scan through a recruiters emails, desktop or cloud drives to identify all the resumes that are hidden away and make sense of them and build it into a standardized parsed resume database.
Further, using a resume extractor designed by Tobu, a recruiter can either use the in-house Search tool provided by Tobu itself to identify candidates or they could choose to populate their own ATS or any other ideas that they are currently using and in effect used to do as a candidate sourcing tool. The best part about this is that
1. The recruiter have a unique database that is private to them
2. All the hard work they have put into curate a candidate database in the past can now be harnessed
3. A recruiter can keep in touch with their own pool of candidates.
4. The dependency on external databases like LinkedIn or indeed to place your candidates is lowered
5. Recruiters save a ton of time and money in placing candidates from your own database first before going out and looking in the market.
So how does the resume extractor work?
1. You download Tobu desktop to your computer and pointed to a potential set of folders that might have resumes. Tobu then scans through the folders, automatically identifies just the resumes, de-duplicates them and backs it up to your private database.
2. You link your Email account to Tobu . Tobu will scan through your email and identify just the resume is and backs it up into the same private database.
3. You link your Google Drive/ One Drive to Tobu, Tobu will scan through your Cloud Drive and identify just the resume is and backs it up into the same private database.
4. Tobu automatically de-duplicates all of the resume that were found to be the same candidates.
5. Now you can search through your candidates, pull out parsed information like candidate contact details, or bulk mail the candidates to find out their availability new job openings.
Tobu has already helped hundreds of companies in extracting resumes from their email, desktop and cloud drives and has drastically change the way recruiters approach candidate placement. Recruiters could be receiving too many resumes on a day-to-day basis and they just want to be able to screen through them/ get an Excel dump of the new resumes. Recruiters might have new job openings for which they are looking through their old candidate database to place candidates. Recruiters might want a way to just scan and get a dump of all the resumes in their email/ desktop. In all these cases, recruiters use the resume extractor provided by Tobu.
